The new Hex Thru-Tube Torque Rod has a new shape on both the front and the back end.

Front End Improvements:

  • The rod now has a one inch flat on the end to improve shoot-ability and reduce line twist.

  • A drilled thru-hole ensures a full-diameter, clear, in-line path for the line to enter and exit the reel.
  • Black powder coat finish for reduced line friction on the shot and a tough, sleek look.

New Back End Features:

  • Toolless, quick-release lever simplifies adjustment and removal of the rod.
  • Hex shank is keyed to set position and integrate with toolless lever (patent pending).

This rod is made for the new MegaMouth mount with toolless lever lock (4509-01).  However, it will work in all older style MegaMouth mounts, but you will not benefit from the quick-release lever without purchasing the entire assembly.
